Pellet Stoves
Local Pellet Stove Experts
Pellet stoves offer the cozy heat and dancing flame of burning wood but with a different spin on a wood burning stove. Rather than using wood and logs that need split, stacked, dried, and stored, pellet stoves use compressed wood pellets made from materials that would typically end up in a landfill such as saw dust, wood chips and bark. By using remnant products from wood mills and other locations and processes, products that would often be discarded are transformed into a renewable resource that can efficiently and cleanly heat your home.
Pellet stoves offer a green option to help heat your home and save you money. Use this type of stove to zone-heat the rooms with the most traffic. By heating the areas that are most used rather than your entire home, you will save on your heating costs. You can control the amount of heat output by a thermostat or with some models, with the use of a remote control.
Fuel Source
The fuel source needed for these appliances, pellets, take up much less space than wood and logs. No need to worry about insects being brought into the home. All they need is a dry area to be stored until you are ready to use them. Typically, pellets come in large bags making storing a breeze. Pellets are divided into two different grades: standard and premium grade. Standard grade pellets have a much higher percentage of bark in them which will produce less heat and more ash. Premium grade pellets have a much lower percentage of bark in them which alternatively will produce more heat and less ash. Typically, premium pellets are preferred but we can help to check which grade your pellet stove will operate best with and offer suggestions as to specific pellets that will fit with your needs and budget.
Typical Pellet Design
There is a wide variety, styles, and designs of pellet stoves that can fit any décor, from traditional to modern. Our experts will provide a fast and accurate installation which allows you to enjoy the warmth and enjoyment of a fire in your home. Pellet stoves need to be vented but due to a forced exhaust system, the vent pipe does not necessarily need to be vented vertically and can instead be vented through an exterior wall to save on space.
